The Orange Songtao is the most recent songtao to ply the streets of Hua Hin. As such, they’re not yet as reliable as the green route or the red route. In fact, though they started running in late 2012, they disappeared for several months and have only recently appeared again.
The Orange Songtao runs from about 0700 through around 2100 with trips two to three times each hour. However, you may see 3 in five minutes and not see another one for almost an hour. They do need to work on their scheduling…
The fare is 15 Baht from one end of the route to the other so if you live in Ban Gai and need to go to Makro, this might be the deal for you. This route also goes by the Thai Immigration Office.
